The Sports Com­pa­ny of T&T (SporTT) re­cent­ly ful­filled a com­mit­ment to re­mu­ner­ate vol­ley­ball coach­es of na­tion­al ju­nior and youth teams as well as com­mu­ni­ty and school pro­grammes. The pre­sen­ta­tion was held at the of­fices of SporTT, Hen­ry Street, Port-of-Spain on Wednes­day by An­tho­ny Creed, ex­ec­u­tive man­ag­er, Sport Per­for­mance and De­vel­op­ment Unit who hand­ed over a cheque for $261,093 to T&T Vol­ley­ball Fed­er­a­tion vice-pres­i­dent Daymi­an Stew­art, to cov­er pay­ment of salaries for the pe­ri­od Oc­to­ber 2010 to Au­gust 2012.

In 2012, the Ju­nior (Un­der-17) teams en­joyed suc­cess in the Caribbean Zon­al Vol­ley­ball As­so­ci­a­tion (CA­ZO­VA)?tour­na­ments, with the girls cop­ping the re­gion­al ti­tle while the boys took third place in the re­spec­tive com­pe­ti­tion. At the NORCE­CA lev­el, the re­sults were not as favourable as the Un­der-20 women placed eighth over­all at the Ju­nior Women's tour­na­ment and the Un­der-18 women end­ed sixth at the Con­ti­nen­tal Cham­pi­onships.
