The John O'Brien trained cham­pi­on will tote 56.5 ki­los in the fea­ture, when he will have the as­sis­tance of No­bel Abrego. On Sat­ur­day, Bruceon­th­eloose will race at lev­el weights in the $200,000 purse event, with Galve­ston, Sam's Hero, and Es­quire. The on­ly hors­es which will re­ceived weight from the cham­pi­on are three-year-olds One­to­keep, and Pis­ton And Rings, in the six horse field.

O'Brien is cer­tain to have an­oth­er win­ner, as noth­ing in the line up can get Bruceon­th­eloose out of sec­ond gear.

In the co-fea­ture, Grade Three-Caribbean Sprint Cham­pi­onship over 1,200 me­tres, der­by hero Free Pas­sage looks set to con­tin­ue his up­ward curve for train­er De­r­ick Mosca. The Juan Navar­ro owned horse will race with 52.5 ki­los and Ricky Jadoo looks to have a win­ning ride. Free Pas­sage is un­beat­en on the main track and will main­tain his un­beat­en record in the $100,000 purse event.

O'Brien at­tacks this event with a three pronged at­tack which in­clude Go For The Gold, B's Pas­sion and Odin but none should wor­ry the three-year-old cham­pi­on. The biggest threat should come from the David Ojar trained Sky­line Pi­geon.
