North East Stars and Defence Force will be hoping to maintain their perfect starts to the Digicel T&T Pro League campaign when they clash in the feature match of a double-header at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo from 7 pm tonight.
Both teams enter the match level on three points, however Stars lead by virtue of a better goal-difference after whipping Neal & Massy Caledonia AIA 3-1 in its opener last month while Defence Forcfe edged St Ann's Rangers.
The two clubs are also expected to be at full strenght following the arrival of their players from national duty in St Kitts/Nevis at the Caribbean Football Union Cup first round Group Five qualifiers which T&T won.
Those expected to feature for coach Angus Eve and his Stars squad who were on national duty includes Seon Power and Kareem Moses while Defence Force coach, Ross Russell will welcome back the trio of Curtis Gonzales, Richard Roy and Devorn Jorsling into his squad as it seeks to put its 2-1 loss to Caledonia AIAin the First Citizens Cup two weeks ago to rest.
In the first match at Mucurapo, Rangers, beaten by Defence Force 2-1 in its league opener and T&TEC, blanked 2-0 by Police go after their first points. Expected to make his debut for Rangers is 21-year-old Cecil Jeffrey who attended Boston University.
