Bon Accord Government, runners-up in the 2011 Atlantic Primary Schools football league finished as the top team in Tobago in the preliminary round of the 2012 series and will face off with Manzanilla Government in the first match of the Big-16 series at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Bacolet on Thursday at 12 noon.
Manzanilla won the right to contest this game because they finished as runners-up in the North East District. On Tuesday evening Bon Accord ensured they finished atop the Tobago District as they dismantled Whim Anglican by a 4-1 margin.
In the girls section, Tobago winners Pentecostal Light and Life ended as the leading team after they edged Mason Hall Government 1-0. In the first game on Thursday, Pentecostal Light and Life will come up against Port-of-Spain runners-up St Barb's Government.
Later this week the rest of the district winners and runners-up will be known and the Big-16 matches will continue in Trinidad.
