The Women's Com­mit­tee of the Na­tion­al As­so­ci­a­tions of Ath­let­ic Ad­min­is­tra­tion (NAAA) will hosts its an­nu­al sym­po­sium at the Crowne Plaza Ho­tel to­mor­row. This year's theme is Build­ing Self-Es­teem.

The fea­ture speak­er is for­mer Sports Min­is­ter Mar­i­lyn Gor­don who will present on "Com­mu­ni­cat­ing to Bridge the Gen­er­a­tion Gap." Ak­i­lah Ri­ley (Un­der­stand­ing self and oth­ers), and Lystra Fran­cis (How to Build Self-Es­teem) will al­so speak.

The sym­po­sium is open to all fe­male club of­fi­cials, coach­es, teacher and ath­letes, and runs from 9 am to 3 pm. NAAA Pres­i­dent Ephraim Ser­rette and Per­ma­nent Sec­re­tary in the Min­istry of Sports, Ash­win Creed, are ex­pect­ed to ad­dress the gath­er­ing.

Seoul Olympics women's 200m sil­ver medal­list Ja­maican Grace Jack­son was the keynote speak­er as last year's event. The com­mit­tee held its first edi­tion of the sym­po­sium in 2009, un­der the theme Mo­ti­vate Your­self to Suc­cess.
