The Women's Committee of the National Associations of Athletic Administration (NAAA) will hosts its annual symposium at the Crowne Plaza Hotel tomorrow. This year's theme is Building Self-Esteem.
The feature speaker is former Sports Minister Marilyn Gordon who will present on "Communicating to Bridge the Generation Gap." Akilah Riley (Understanding self and others), and Lystra Francis (How to Build Self-Esteem) will also speak.
The symposium is open to all female club officials, coaches, teacher and athletes, and runs from 9 am to 3 pm. NAAA President Ephraim Serrette and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports, Ashwin Creed, are expected to address the gathering.
Seoul Olympics women's 200m silver medallist Jamaican Grace Jackson was the keynote speaker as last year's event. The committee held its first edition of the symposium in 2009, under the theme Motivate Yourself to Success.
