League cham­pi­on Queen's Roy­al Col­lege (QRC) will be aim­ing for its sec­ond ma­jor ti­tle to­day, when the "Roy­alians" faces Tran­quil­i­ty Sec­ondary in the Form One North Zone Knock­out fi­nal at QRC Ground from 9.15 pm. Led by top for­ward Dar­ius Dick­son, QRC en­ters the match as favourites to take the sea­son af­ter a near­ly flaw­less league cam­paign, in which it went un­beat­en and drew just one match, against Fa­ti­ma Col­lege.

Tran­quil­i­ty, which fin­ished third out of five teams in the league cam­paign, will go in­to the match as un­der­dogs hav­ing al­ready lost to QRC this sea­son. Dick­son, who is the Roy­alians lead­ing scor­er this sea­son, was in­s­tu­men­tal through­out, in­clud­ing the semi­fi­nal round, where he scored the open­ing goal in a 3-0 drub­bing of Suc­cess Laven­tille, last Sat­ur­day.

He opened the scor­ing in the 12th minute, af­ter head­ing past the Laven­tille goal­keep­er, fol­low­ing a loft­ed cross from Miguel Williams on the left side. Dick­son al­so aid­ed in the sec­ond, when he hit a pow­er­ful ef­fort, which was par­ried by the shot stop­per, and in­to the past of Au­gus­tine Nke­mako­lam, who fin­ished eas­i­ly. The scor­ing was wrapped up in the 26th minute, via a so­lo ef­fort from Twon Grannum, who played a through ball to him­self on the left flank, be­fore drib­bling past two Suc­cess Laven­tille de­fend­er and hit­ting a pre­cise shot be­yond the reach of the goal­keep­er.

Tran­quil­i­ty ad­vanced to the fi­nal with a vic­to­ry over Mu­cu­rapo Sec­ondary on penal­ty kicks. (AP)
