The Michael Carew Jr trained D'Coach­man scored an up­set vic­to­ry in the fea­ture turf clas­sic over 1800M at San­ta Rosa Park yes­ter­day. The 8/1 shot was a con­vinc­ing 6 3/4 lengths win­ner from Blame It On Me with an­oth­er out­sider,Band­wag­on, who fin­ished third. Nicholas Patrick rode D'Coach­man con­fi­dent­ly as he ran away from his ri­vals in the fi­nal 200m.

Favourites, One­to­keep and Naughty N Nice, were well beat­en in­to 8th and 6th po­si­tions re­spec­tive­ly. D' Coach­man reg­is­tered the time of 1:58.0. Train­ing ho­n­ours for the day went to Ro­hit Dube who sad­dled three win­ners in Bec­quer­el, On My Own and San­ta Rosa. Rid­ing ho­n­ours fell to Ke­iron Khelawan who rode two win­ners Bec­quer­el and San­ta Rosa.
