New­com­ers Les Femmes record­ed a 26-18 win over Com­plete Cus­tomer Ser­vice (CCS) as it opened the Courts All Sec­tors Net­ball League (ASNL) Retro Di­vi­sion with a bang at the East­ern Re­gion­al In­door Sports Are­na, Or­ange Grove Road, Tacarigua, on Mon­day.

Pamela Nathaniel led for the vic­tors with 20 goals from 27 at­tempts, while her team­mate Maylin Pe­ters aid­ed with six goals from sev­en tries.

Les Femmes held a nar­row 6-4 first-quar­ter lead be­fore con­trol­ling the sec­ond pe­ri­od for a 13-6 half-time ad­van­tage.

The match was wrapped up with­in the third pe­ri­od when Les Femmes left with a 21-12 lead.

Sher­ry Thomas was CCS's top shoot­er with 15 points from 28 at­tempts.

In the day's oth­er match Les En­fants, led by Michelle Boyce and Joanne Payne, who sank 17 and 5 goals, re­spec­tive­ly, record­ed an easy 22-14 win over Harlem.

Jill Humphrey scored 13 goals for the los­ing team.

Last evening, the Al­ter­na­tive Di­vi­sion opened with a clash be­tween cham­pi­ons TSTT and the Uni­ver­si­ty of the South­ern Caribbean, which pre­ceed­ed a bat­tle be­tween Po­lice and the Uni­ver­si­ty of T&T.

Cham­pi­onship and Pre­mier­ship ac­tion will com­mence on Sat­ur­day with five match­es, be­gin­ning from 1 pm (see at­tached fix­tures).
