World Cham­pi­onship bronze medal­list George Bovell is keen to give back to young swim­mers and im­part key com­pe­ti­tion skills. In this re­gard, the 29-year-old swim­mer has teamed up with the Sports Com­pa­ny to host the four-day 'Dive In Swim Clin­ic' at var­i­ous lo­ca­tions across the coun­try.

Ath­letes rang­ing from 11-17 years old have been tar­get­ed to par­tic­i­pate. To as­sist him with the ses­sions, Bovell has re­cruit­ed top in­ter­na­tion­al swim­mers Du­je Dra­gan­ja of Croa­t­ia and Amer­i­can Joseph Pas­cale. Dra­gan­ja is an Olympic sil­ver medal­list (2004) and two time World Cham­pi­on in the 50m freestyle while Pas­cale is an ac­com­plished mar­tial artist and swim­mer who has re­cent­ly re­turned to elite com­pe­ti­tion in the pool.

The clin­ics will be con­duct­ed from 4pm to 7pm on the fol­low­ing dates and venues: To­day - Point Fortin Com­mu­ni­ty Cen­tre To­mor­row - 11 Jan­u­ary at Cen­tre of Ex­cel­lence, Ma­coya Sat­ur­day - Blue Dol­phin Swim­ming Pool, St. James Sun­day - YM­CA Swim­ming Pool, Cour­land, To­ba­go Us­ing the hash­tag #Go­B­i­gand­Give­Back, Bovell has tak­en to his pop­u­lar Twit­ter feed to pro­mote the event.
