Devon Modeste's seventh goal of the campaign gave St Ann's Rangers full points as T&TEC's woes continued in the Digicel TT Pro League at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, on Saturday evening.
The fixture followed a goalless stalemate between the league's newest addition, Central FC and fifth-placed Police FC.
Rangers' win pushed it up to sixth spot in the table, as it leapfrogged Central FC.
T&TEC's loss, meanwhile, kept it at the foot of the eight-team standings with three points from just one win in nine outings.
Modeste's goal was only the second item scored on the weekend, as only one effort went into the net in the double-header which was staged on Friday, at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Wrightson Road.
National forward Devorn Jorsling's goal in the 82nd minute kept 2011 champion Defence Force clear at the top of the standings with a 1-0 win over North East Stars, while the night's other match saw Caledonia AIA and W Connection maintain second and third spot, respectively, after playing to a nil-nil draw.
