The first qualifying tournament in the 2013 National Chess Championship begins tomorrow at St George's College, Barataria, starting at 6.30 pm. The contest is being hosted jointly by Knights Chess Club and Chess for Life with Russel Smith, Clayton Gomez and Naroutam Singh serving at arbiters.
The seven-round event continues on the following four days. Registrations can be made before the start of play on Thursday, between 5.30 and 6 pm.
