The first qual­i­fy­ing tour­na­ment in the 2013 Na­tion­al Chess Cham­pi­onship be­gins to­mor­row at St George's Col­lege, Barataria, start­ing at 6.30 pm. The con­test is be­ing host­ed joint­ly by Knights Chess Club and Chess for Life with Rus­sel Smith, Clay­ton Gomez and Naroutam Singh serv­ing at ar­biters.

The sev­en-round event con­tin­ues on the fol­low­ing four days. Reg­is­tra­tions can be made be­fore the start of play on Thurs­day, be­tween 5.30 and 6 pm.
