Over 250 par­tic­i­pants are ex­pect­ed for the sev­enth an­nu­al Riv­er Raid Moun­tain Bike Race and 5 km Trail Run, which takes off at the Ar­bore­tum, Ch­aguara­mas, on Sun­day, from 8.30 am.

The event is host­ed by the Rain­bow War­riors Triathlon Club and in­cludes moun­tain bike races for chil­dren from sev­en to 15 years, as well as for adults, both be­gin­ners and elite rid­ers.

The main event will be timed through an elec­tron­ic chip.

Reg­is­tra­tion for the event con­cludes to­day at Mike's Bikes, Ari­api­ta Av­enue, and Ken­ny's, Carl­ton Cen­tre. In­ter­est­ed par­tic­i­pants may al­so con­tact Ja­son Good­ing at 784-4128.

The event is spon­sored by the Ch­aguara­mas De­vel­op­ment Au­thor­i­ty (CDA), Blue Wa­ters, Mike's Bikes, Gatorade and Odessey Tim­ing.
