T&T’s Sealy shines for UCF
T&T’s Monifa Sealy conjured up her first win on the United Stated collegiate circuit on Monday when she shot one-under par scores of 72 and 71 (-1) in the 36-hole event in the Florida One-Day Shootout, held at the Diamond Black Quarry course, Lecanto, Florida.
Sealy, a sophomore at the University of Central Florida, ended the day tied with University of Florida’s Camilla Hedburg who shot an identical round to finish 143 (1-under) for the day, as the rival pair shared individual honours.
Sealy carried UCF (608, +32) to a fourth-placed finish in the team event, behind Hedburg’s UF (589 +10), which finished the top university. Sealy and the ‘Knights’ will be back in action on February 10-12 when they host the UCF Challenge at Red Tail Golf Club in Sorrento, Florida.
