The Dig­i­cel Pro League Cham­pi­onship will move to the Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um, Ma­coya, with dou­ble-head­ers at the venue, to­day and to­mor­row.

As a re­sult of the un­avail­abil­i­ty of the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um, which has been booked for al­ter­na­tive events, and the Man­nie Ramjohn and Lar­ry Gomes sta­di­ums both un­der ma­jor re­pairs, and with the Ato Boldon Sta­di­um set to host next Wednes­day's friend­ly in­ter­na­tion­al be­tween T&T and Pe­ru, the League has shift­ed the Round Two Match Day Five fix­tures to the Ma­coya venue.

To­day, sec­ond-po­si­tioned Cale­do­nia AIA will chal­lenge sixth-placed Po­lice FC from 6 pm. Then, from 8 pm, this sea­son's debu­tants Cen­tral FC will tack­le run­away leader De­fence Force.

To­mor­row, the new-look St Ann's Rangers will meet fourth-po­si­tioned North East Stars from 5 pm. Two hours lat­er, de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Di­recTV W Con­nec­tion will face T&TEC FC from 7 pm.

The Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um, the on­ly foot­ball-spe­cif­ic sta­di­um on the is­land, was last used for a Pro League match al­most two years ago fol­low­ing the pull­out of ten­ants Joe Pub­lic from the top-tier league com­pe­ti­tion af­ter the 2010-2011 sea­son.

Housed to­geth­er with the Jo�o Have­lange Cen­tre of Ex­cel­lence, the sta­di­um be­came the first venue in the Caribbean to have ar­ti­fi­cial turf (as­tro­turf), which was made pos­si­ble through a FI­FA de­vel­op­ment grant in 2007. The first game played on the sur­face was a Pro League en­counter in which Cale­do­nia nar­row­ly de­feat­ed Joe Pub­lic.

Six years since, Cale­do­nia (20 points), eight points adrift of De­fence Force, is seek­ing an out­right win in chase of the sol­diers, while keep­ing third- and fourth-po­si­tioned Con­nec­tion and North East Stars, re­spec­tive­ly, the lat­ter two stand­ing on 16 points each, sep­a­rat­ed sole­ly on goal dif­fer­ence.
