The Olympic and World Cham­pi­onships 100m semi­fi­nal­ist clocked 6.33 sec­onds to place sec­ond be­hind Olympic long jump cham­pi­on Brit­tney Reese (USA), who won in 6.30. Cana­di­ans Crys­tal Em­manuel (6.38), Shai-Anne Davis (6.44) and Kim­ber­ley Hy­acinthe (6.51) were next be­hind with Amer­i­can Sha­reese Woods (6.52) and Mariely Sanchez of the Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic (6.53) com­plet­ing the field.

In the heats ear­li­er in the day, Lee Ahye was sec­ond quick­est (6.36) be­hind Reese (6.33) as the duo fin­ished 1-2 in heat one.Lee-Ahye was ex­pect­ed to con­test the 60m event last night (Fri­day).

Cordeo Gray (USA) cap­tured the men's event in 5.79 lead­ing an Amer­i­can sweep of the top three places with Ru­bin Williams (5.81) and Woodrow Ran­dall (5.82) tak­ing the sec­ond and third spots.

Olympic men's 400m sil­ver medal­list Luguelin San­tos of the Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic was beat­en in­to third in the 400m event. San­tos clocked 49.23 to fin­ish be­hind Amer­i­can Jamil Hub­bard, 48.52, and Cana­da's Philip Os­ei, 49.14.
