Sprint lass­es Ka­maria Du­rant, Ky­la-Maria Sen­ford,Thy­la Marie Scott cap­tured two ti­tles at the Third NAAA De­vel­op­ment Meet at the Ato Boldon Sta­di­um, Cou­va on Jan­u­ary 26.

Du­rant (Sim­plex) was the quick­est in the women's 100 and 200 sprints tak­ing the short­er sprint in 11.89 in top­ping heat 1 Du­rant was well ahead of sec­ond place Janae Alexan­der (Mem­phis) who clocked 12.37 in win­ning heat two from Za­kiya De­noon (Zenith) in third 12.53. The 22 year old re­turned to grab the 200m (24.29) to fin­ish ahead of Kayelle Clarke (Petrotrin PAP) 24.66 and Ra­mona Mod­este (Neon Track­ers) 25.17.

Sen­ford (Mem­phis) al­so com­pet­ed a 100/200 dou­ble in the girls un­der 15 di­vi­sion. In the 100m Sen­ford was first to the line in 13.14 rel­e­gat­ing Akeena Es­delle (Pt Fortin New Jets) 13.58 and Sha­nia Mc Carter (Mem­phis) 13.71 to the mi­nor places. In the 200m Sen­ford topped the field in 27.11 from Cougars' Ker­shell McIn­tyre (27.34) and Juia Mc­Sween (Abi­lene) 27.46. Scott copped the 200 and 400m in the girls un­der 17 com­pe­ti­tion. Scott (Cougars) won the 400m in 1:01.19 from Jael Fer­gu­son (Abi­lene) 1:03.90 and Kali­fa Joseph (Cougars) 1:04.83. In the 200m Scott was again vic­to­ri­ous (26.37). Jerisa James (Mem­phis) 26.97 and Kadesh Prescott (Con­corde) 27.34 were sec­ond and third.

The Fourth NAAA De­vel­op­ment is set for the Ato Boldon Sta­di­um, Cou­va to­day be­gin­ning at 10'clock in the morn­ing.
