Opener Richard Ali belted a violent 74 off 45 balls to hand Seenath's Auto Bamboo a six-wicket win over Clarke Road in the quarterfinals of the National 50 Over League in Penal yesterday.
Ali's innings included eight fours and four sixes as Bamboo, chasing 142 off 41 overs, reached 143 for four after just 19.5. Earlier, Clarke Road had been reduced to 141 for seven in the rain-shortened game thanks to a disciplined bowling effort from Terrence Hinds (2/35) and Yanick Cariah (2/22).
In other matches, former T&T allrounder Mario Belcon struck an unbeaten 64 while Avin Raja, Javed Ramdhanie and Rayad Emrit each picked up three wickets as Merryboys romped to a nine-wicket win over Moosai Sports at Honeymoon Park, Tacarigua.

Chasing a small target, Merryboys cruised home in 15.4 overs with Belcon and fellow opener Aaron Alfred (29) scoring the bulk of the runs.
At Charlieville, fast bowler Shannon Gabriel took four for 32 while Justin Guillen made an even 50 as Queen's Park whipped Alescon Comets by nine wickets. Batting first, Comets limped to 147 all out in 47 overs, struggling to come to terms with Gabriel and Amit Jaggernauth (2/33).
