De­fend­ing Un­der-19 BGTT cham­pi­ons East Zone will be­gin prepa­ra­tions for the 2013 crick­et com­pe­ti­tions with screen­ing ses­sions/tri­als lat­er this week.Screen­ing ses­sions will be held to­day and Fri­day from 3.30 pm at the nets of El Do­ra­do East Sec­ondary School (El Do Blue), Kara­math Street, off Cau­ra Road.

All play­ers in­ter­est­ed in rep­re­sent­ing the East Zone in the Un­der-17 and Un­der-19 tour­na­ments, re­sid­ing in the re­gion be­tween El Soc­coro Road and Olton Road, Ari­ma, are in­vit­ed to par­tic­i­pate in the screen­ing ses­sions/tri­als.

Fol­low­ing the screen­ing, play­ers will then be short-list­ed for fur­ther tri­als. The BGTT youth com­pe­ti­tions com­mence in mid-March.East Zone were al­so los­ing se­mi-fi­nal­ists last year in the Un­der-17 com­pe­ti­tion and are hop­ing to go all the way this sea­son.In­ter­est­ed play­ers or par­ents can con­tact Taran­dath Sam­my at 684-9403 or Kelvin Arneaud at 290-2833.
