Goal attack Nariba Grant converted 24 goals from 42 attempts, when she led Fire to a comfortable 42-25 win over Defence Force, when the lone Championship Division match was competed in the Courts All Sectors Netball League, on Monday.
Fire, smarting from a 38-38 draw with UWI just two days prior, gained momentum after leading by one point, 10-9 at the end of the first quarter. Fire then led 23-15 at the half, and 32-20 at the end of the third quarter, before taking the match by a 27-point margin. Grant was supported by shooter Aquila Blugh who was accurate with 18 from 25 attempts. Melissa Snaggs was the top performer for Defence Force with 17 goals from 26 tries.
Two Retro Division sawtwo matches played, withleader TSTT and Les Enfants securing wins.TSTT secured its fourth consecutive win in a 27-19 victory over Harlem. Debra Alie and Olivia La Platte netted 16 goals from 27 attempts and 11 goals from 17 attempts, respectively, for TSTT.Meanwhile, Cindy Merrick was on fine form for Les Enfants, when she sank 34 goals from 44 attempts, in her team's 39-16 whipping of Les Femmes.
