Par­ents, stu­dents and teach­ers of the Mon­trose Gov­ern­ment Pri­ma­ry School walk along the Mon­trose Main Road, Ch­agua­nas dur­ing their 9th an­nu­al walkathon which was held on Feb­ru­ary 8.

The theme of the event was Nu­ture Your Dreams, Be­come Some­body. The walkathon was ini­ti­at­ed nine years ago by then teacher and now prin­ci­pal of the school, Kit­ty Al Ho­sein Gar­cia with sup­port from vice prin­ci­pal, Pene­lope Fur­longe.

The walkathon was at­tend­ed by Stephen Cadiz, Min­is­ter of Tourism and Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment for Ch­agua­nas East, Rana Per­sad–coun­cil­lor for Long­denville/Tal­paro, Adri­an Bharath–na­tion­al crick­eter, Dr Karen So­han–pres­i­dent of PTA and Chris­tine Kow­lessar-Jack­son–School Su­per­vi­sor and Past Prin­ci­pal of MG­PS.
