T&T will look to make light work of Lee­ward Is­lands when the two meets at Warn­er Park in Bas­seterre, St Kitts in the WICB Re­gion­al Su­per50 com­pe­ti­tion.The "Red Force" will be seek­ing to make it two wins in-a-row af­ter beat­ing Wind­ward Is­lands by 16 runs on Thurs­day in its open­ing match in St Vin­cent.

Ja­son Mo­hammed was key in that vic­to­ry, scor­ing an un­beat­en half cen­tu­ry (63 not out) and will again be looked up­on to lead with the sup­port from young­ster Nicholas Pooran, who on his de­but reg­is­tered 33 not out.

Al­so mak­ing valu­able con­tri­bu­tions were Evin Lewis with 31 and Yan­nick Ot­t­ley (28). The 21-year-olds will al­so be called on to give T&T sol­id bat­ting as they were vi­tal in T&T reach­ing 216 for 5.

Bowlers Yan­nic Cari­ah and Ot­t­ley did well with the ball in help­ing T&T to four points for the win as they con­tributed to bowl­ing out Wind­wards for 202. Cari­ah had a five-wick­et haul (5/44) while Ot­t­ley claimed 2/33.

T&T will again be with­out their cap­tain De­nesh Ramdin, Sunil Nar­ine, Dwayne Bra­vo, Kieron Pol­lard and Dar­ren Bra­vo, who are all on du­ty with the West In­dies team.Two oth­er match­es are card­ed for to­day with Com­bined Cam­pus­es & Col­leges (CCC) play­ing Bar­ba­dos at Three Ws Oval in Bridgetown, Bar­ba­dos and Wind­wards tak­ing on Guyana at Arnos Vale Crick­et Ground in Kingstown, St Vin­cent.

The Bar­ba­dos Crick­et As­so­ci­a­tion's se­lec­tion pan­el, yes­ter­day picked ex­pe­ri­enced all­rounder Dwayne Smith as the re­place­ment for Jonathon Carter for the match. Carter will re­main with the West In­dies as cov­er for open­er John­son Charles for to­day's sec­ond One Day In­ter­na­tion­al (ODI) against Zim­bab­we.

Carter was orig­i­nal­ly called up as cov­er for Kieron Pol­lard, who was ex­pe­ri­enc­ing trav­el dif­fi­cul­ties in reach­ing Grena­da ahead of the start of the three-match One-Day Se­ries.

How­ev­er a WICB re­lease late yes­ter­day said Pol­lard has since ar­rived and will be avail­able for the sec­ond One-Day­er at the Grena­da Na­tion­al Sta­di­um against Zim­bab­we.
