West In­dies Women meet Sri Lan­ka to­day in the sec­ond match of their three match One Day In­ter­na­tion­al (ODI) se­ries at the Ran­giri Dambul­la In­ter­na­tion­al Sta­di­um in Sri Lan­ka.

The re­gion­al women's side opened with a four-wick­et win on Fri­day thanks to the bowl­ing of Shak­era Sel­man and She­maine Camp­belle and bat­ting from De­an­dra Dot­tin.Sel­man claimed two for 8 and Camp­belle two for 13 to bowl out Sri Lan­ka for 164 for nine. An ag­gres­sive knock from Dot­tin guid­ed West In­dies to vic­to­ry at 165 for six.

The fi­nal ODI is set for Tues­day.The se­ries will al­so in­clude three five Twen­ty20 In­ter­na­tion­als which will be played at the his­toric R Pre­madasa Sta­di­um on March 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8.

West In­dies have been im­prov­ing grad­u­al­ly and fin­ished sec­ond in the ICC Women's Crick­et World Cup. They lost the fi­nal against Aus­tralia at the Crick­et Club of In­dia's Brabourne Sta­di­um, ear­li­er to­day. Last year they reached the se­mi-fi­nals of the ICC Women's World T20 tour­na­ment.

West In­dies and Sri Lan­ka played in the same group at the just con­clud­ed World Cup. Sri Lan­ka reached the Su­per Six stage while West In­dies reached the fi­nal for the first time.
