West Indies spin bowler Sunil Narine is one of many current players to pass through the Earl John Youth Cricket Academy, and the institution, which has been in existence for some 15 years, is hoping someone from this year's programme will turn into the next cricketing phenom.
The three-month programme is hosted by the Fulham Sports Club of Arima and runs from March 4 to May 31 for boys and girls between the ages of six to 17. The age groups are 6-10, 10-13, 13-15 and 15-17. Sessions are scheduled for Mondays and Fridays from 4 pm to 6 pm. The registration fee is $100 per child.
This academy will have four West Indies level qualified coaches–Clint Pamphille, Arnold Ruiz, Lester Hanooman and Jason Garcia–who will be looking to pass on their experience. Other players who passed through the academy are national player Kevon Cooper and under-19 national cricketer Jeremy Solozano.
For further information contact Clint (682-8132), Arnold (799-1899), Jason (464-0375).
