West In­dies spin bowler Sunil Nar­ine is one of many cur­rent play­ers to pass through the Earl John Youth Crick­et Acad­e­my, and the in­sti­tu­tion, which has been in ex­is­tence for some 15 years, is hop­ing some­one from this year's pro­gramme will turn in­to the next crick­et­ing phe­nom.

The three-month pro­gramme is host­ed by the Ful­ham Sports Club of Ari­ma and runs from March 4 to May 31 for boys and girls be­tween the ages of six to 17. The age groups are 6-10, 10-13, 13-15 and 15-17. Ses­sions are sched­uled for Mon­days and Fri­days from 4 pm to 6 pm. The reg­is­tra­tion fee is $100 per child.

This acad­e­my will have four West In­dies lev­el qual­i­fied coach­es–Clint Pam­phille, Arnold Ruiz, Lester Hanooman and Ja­son Gar­cia–who will be look­ing to pass on their ex­pe­ri­ence. Oth­er play­ers who passed through the acad­e­my are na­tion­al play­er Kevon Coop­er and un­der-19 na­tion­al crick­eter Je­re­my Solozano.
