De­fence Force will be con­fi­dent of get­ting back to win­ning ways and ex­tend­ing its lead at the top of the Dig­i­cel T&T Pro League stand­ings when it faces St Ann's Rangers in the fea­ture match of a dou­ble-head­er at the Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um, Ma­coya, from 7 pm this evening.Cur­rent­ly, the "Teteron Boys," who have lost on­ly once in 14 league match­es, a 4-2 de­feat to sec­ond-placed Neal & Massy Cale­do­nia AIA back on Sep­tem­ber 14, top the ta­ble with 33 points, four ahead of its clos­est chal­lenge while de­fend­ing cham­pi­on Di­recTV W Con­nec­tion has 25 and fourth-placed North East Stars, 20, but with a match in hand.

How­ev­er, the Ross Rus­sell-coached De­fence Force has stum­bled in re­cent weeks draw­ing two of their last three league match­es in­clud­ing 1-1 with cel­lar-placed T&TEC last week and Cen­tral FC, but will start as favourites hav­ing beat­en tonight's op­po­nents 2-1 and 8-0 in their pre­vi­ous league en­coun­ters this cam­paign.

Rangers, on the oth­er hand, has not won in the league since a Jan­u­ary 12, 1-0 win over T&TEC–a run of five match­es–but will be buoyed by their thrilling 3-3 draw with Po­lice on Wednes­day last at the Ato Boldon Sta­di­um, Cou­va, which came on the back of a de­ter­mined dis­play in a 2-4 loss to Cale­do­nia last Sat­ur­day at Ma­coya.Two hours pri­or, T&TEC, bot­tom of the ta­ble with five points and Po­lice, sixth with 11 points, do bat­tle with both teams in search of much need­ed points.
