It's down to the wire today in the Premier Division of the Powergen Secondary Schools Cricket League, as five schools are still in the hunt to win the league title in the final round of matches.
Leaders Hillview College are coming off a huge ten-wicket defeat at the hands of Trinity East. However, they will be looking to pick up maximum points away from home against a struggling Union Claxton Bay, who has only won one game for the season.
On current form, Trinity is the strongest team as they host Fatima. Trinity, who trail Hillview by four points has won its last three matches convincingly, defeating Princes Town, Carapichaima and Hillview by nine, seven and ten wickets respectively.
Naparima will need some help from other teams and get a maximum of 20 points to have a chance of winning the title. They will welcome defending champions Presentation Chaguanas to their home ground.
In another key encounter, Princes Town West will travel to Carapichaima East and El Dorado East will host Iere High School. If two teams finish on the same number of points, the team with the better run rate throughout the season will be crowned champions.
