Rangers wrangle T&TEC in Oasis league
One week after scoring the league’s first hat-trick, St Ann’s Rangers attacker Raheam Borde bagged another three goals in his team’s 6-0 demolition of T&TEC, when under-15 action continued in the Oasis Youth Pro League on Sunday.
Borde scored the opener within 10 minutes before completing his second hat-trick in two matches, with goals in the 41st and 73rd minutes. Tekay Hoyce scored a 14th-minute penalty with Isaiah Lopez (second goal in two matches) and Tyrell Sandiford (78th) completing the job.
The club then enjoyed another win by the same result (6-0) when it met T&TEC again in the under-18 division. This time, Kevon Goddard scored a hat-trick, while John Toussaint netted a brace. Jameal Antoine was the other player on target.
Rangers, however, was never going to secure a hat-trick of wins after the club opened the day with a 1-0 loss to T&TEC. The “Electricity Boys” sealed the win courtesy of Twon Grannum’s 16th-minute item. It was Rangers’ second loss in as many matches, while T&TEC gained ground from its opening round draw.
