Sport Elite have opened up a 15 point lead atop the Tobago Cricket Association Two-Day League following another innings win over the weekend.

Playing against Georgia at Shaw Park, the young and talented THA sponsored Elite team, crushed their much more seasoned campaigners by an innings and 80 runs. Shaquille Duncan was in devastating form, slamming 152 in Elite’s mammoth total of 357 for 6 declared.

Duncan hit ten fours and six sixes in what was the season’s first season century. Georgia were shut out for 193 with Damian Ramsey stroking 64. Omarley James snared five wickets for 30 runs for Elite.

Georgia feared even worse in their 2nd innings as they were undone by a combination of spin and pace to be bowled out for 84. The win lifted Elite to 55 points from two games played; 15 more than defending champions C&B United who are lying second with 40 points.

Charlotteville for the second time this season, after securing first innings points, went on to lose the game outright. They were up against Airports Authority this time around, and suffered a 114-run defeat.

Club Crusoe and Goodwood played out a dull draw with Goodwood taking first innings points.
