Na­tion­al play­er Fe­li­cia Wal­ters scored an un­beat­en 107 last Sun­day to lead pow­er­house Phoenix Women to a huge 129-run win over a strong Tech­nocrats out­fit in the T&T Women's Crick­et As­so­ci­a­tion (TTWCA) 40-over League.

Many na­tion­al play­ers were on show in this Pre­mier­ship Di­vi­sion match. Phoenix had the likes of Wal­ters, Shenelle Lord, Brit­ney Coop­er and new­ly-ap­point­ed Saman­tha Bis­soon, while Tech­nocrats had Sta­cy Ann King and Gaitri See­ta­hal in their line-up.

In a re­duced 38-over-per-side en­counter at Brook­lyn Recre­ation Ground, Phoenix post­ed a mas­sive 197/6 be­hind Wal­ters' cen­tu­ry. Coop­er and Bis­soon both con­tributed 26, while King and See­ta­hal took one wick­et apiece for Tech­nocrats. In re­sponse, Tech­nocrats nev­er got go­ing, main­ly be­cause of Coop­er's 4/24. Wal­ters was al­so among the wick­ets, grab­bing 2/8.

Whit­ney Cud­joe's 16 was the top score for Tech­nocrats as they could on­ly muster 68 in 19.4 overs. Wal­ters' bril­liant all-round per­for­mance earned her Play­er of the Match and Play­er of the Round.

In oth­er Pre­mier­ship match­es, Sarah Charles un­beat­en 42 led Crick­et Lovers to a sev­en-wick­et win over Maaad Rangers, while three wick­ets apiece from Ka­ma­ra Ra­goo­bar (3/11) and Chadean Na­tion (3/28) gave Moo­sai Ladies an 82-run win over Spice Girls.
