Long-serv­ing pres­i­dent Deb­bie Fran­cois will sit for an­oth­er year fol­low­ing the re­cent elec­tion of the Port-of-Spain Net­ball League ex­ec­u­tive board for 2013-2014.

Fran­cois will re­main at the helm for the 11th time since her first elec­tion in 2001. She served for every year since that time, with the ex­cep­tion of 2005. Veron­i­ca Mc­Don­ald Nicholls al­so re­mains as first vice-pres­i­dent, while for­mer PRO Lynette Dun­can is the new sec­ond vice-pres­i­dent.

Odette Dun­can, a for­mer trustee, is now the sec­re­tary. New faces Mon­i­ca Maule and Mar­garet Salazar are the as­sis­tant sec­re­tary and trea­sur­er, re­spec­tive­ly. Judy George re­mains as PRO.

Ac­tion gets un­der­way al­most im­me­di­ate­ly in the 2013 sea­son which opens on Sun­day with a march past of teams from 3 pm at the Jean Pierre Com­plex, Mu­cu­rapo. Fol­low­ing the judg­ing of the march past, an ex­hi­bi­tion match will be staged be­tween coach­es and um­pires.

To­mor­row, a dress re­hearsal will be staged at the same venue.
