Moosai Ladies captured their fifth consecutive win in the T&T Women's Cricket Association (TTWCA) Premiership Division, last Sunday, with a three-wicket decider over Phoenix Women at El Dorado.
Both teams scored 181 runs, but the match was decided by Moosai Ladies, who ended the innings six wickets down, as opposed to Phoenix, which lost nine wickets.
Just two runs shy of a half-century, player of the match Kirbyina Alexander top-scored for the unbeaten Moosai with 48 runs, followed by Leeann Kirby, who also played a fine innings with 45. Loretta Eligon was the best bowler of the day with one for 18.
For Phoenix, Felicia Walters led all scorers with 71 runs, while Kamara Ragoobar assisted with one for 25 in her bowling spell.
In other Premiership Division results, Spice Girls secured a whopping 163-run victory over rock-bottom MAAAD Rangers. With a score of 236 all out, Spice Girls was best represented by two half-century scorers, Tamika Sandford (80) and Roxanne Toussaint (62).
Meanwhile, after four matches, the Championship Division wound up with South West United clinching the title following a one-wicket victory over San Rafael Ladies.
