I fan­cy the David Ojar trained Sky Pi­geon to reg­is­ter his first win of the 2013 sea­son to­day in the fea­ture Grade Two - Starlight Stakes over 1,350 me­tres on the mi­an track at San­ta Rosa Park, Ari­ma.

In a clash which pits Ja­maican bred hors­es and the lo­cal­ly bred thor­ough­breds, my vote goes to the lo­cal­ly bred Sky Pi­geon.

This horse has cam­paign with the likes of Bruceon­th­eloose for too long not to be able to land this $60,000 first prize cheque.

Last year's der­by win­ner Free Pas­sage from the De­r­ick Mosca barn will go close but he could come up short gainst my se­lec­tion the John O'brien trained One­to­keep.

There will be big pay­out to­day as there are mas­sive car­ry over in the Hi-5 and Su­per­fec­ta.

For­mer cham­pi­on Emile Ram­sam­my will al­so be sign­ing au­to-graphs to­day at San­ta Rosa Park be­tween 2:00pm and 2:30pm.

In all pa­trons race pro­gramme on the in­side cov­er there are pic­tures of Emile Ram­sam­my and will be on hand to aut­ofraph then to­day.

With no Bruceon­th­eloose, Sky­line Pi­geon must be the call but the main threats will come from Free Pas­sage, One­to­keep and Un­ques­tion­able.
