The com­mu­ni­ty of Low­er San­ta Cruz will come to life in ear­ly April as the Ty­ro Sports Club will host four com­pe­ti­tions. The men's wind­ball crick­et league, the women's wind­ball crick­et league, the 45-and-over wind­ball crick­et league and a four-ta­bles all fours com­pe­ti­tion will all get go­ing.

The top prize for the men's and women's crick­et leagues and the all fours com­pe­ti­tion is $10,000 plus a chal­lenge and repli­ca tro­phy, while the top prize in the 45-and-over crick­et will be $5,000 plus a chal­lenge and repli­ca tro­phy.

The all fours com­pe­ti­tion starts on Fri­day at Small­ie's Place, Grand Cu­ru­caye Road, Bourg Mu­la­tresse, Low­er San­ta Cruz.The reg­is­tra­tion fee is $600 for 25 play­ers with the cost for each ex­tra play­er be­ing $50.

The crick­et com­pe­ti­tions which will be 12 overs per side be­gin next Sun­day at the Bourg Mu­la­tresse "Gab­ba" recre­ation­al ground (ad­ja­cent to Bourg Mu­la­tresse RC School), Low­er San­ta Cruz. Reg­is­tra­tion is $650 for 20 play­ers, $100 each for ex­tra play­er.

The 45-and-over wind­ball com­pe­ti­tion al­so starts on the same day at the same venue with the reg­is­tra­tion fee at $400 for 15 play­ers (Ex­tra Play­er cost $50).
