HKL Aranguez will be going for another big upset today when they host Queen's Park in the last round of the T20 Premiership Division.
In Aranguez's previous Group A match on Sunday, they defeated Moosai by six wickets, led by an even half-century from Kellon Carmichael. Moosai are currently the leaders in the Premier Division two-day competition, while Aranguez are in 10th place in the 12-team standings.
Many of the Parkites' top players have left for the Indian Premier League such as Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo. However, youngsters such as Jeremy Solozano and Anthony Simmons have been stepping up to the plate. Solozano scored 36 and Simmons took 4/15 that led Queen's Park to a huge 76-run win over Bamboo on Sunday. Both players are part of the National Under-19 squad.
In other Group A matches, Bamboo will travel to face Alescon Comets and Moosai will host Merry Boys at Honeymoon Park.
In Group B, Caldrac will welcome Diamond to Gilbert Park and Powergen will be the away team when they meet Esmeralda. Clarke Road will have a rest day, as they are scheduled to play Wanderers, which has forfeited all their games this season.
The top four teams in each group will advance to the quarterfinals, scheduled to play on May 20 and 21. All matches begin at 2.30 pm today.
