Tobago two-day league down to 3-team battle

The Tobago Cricket Association 2-Day League is now officially a three-horse race following results over the weekend. 


Leaders C&B United leads the pack, but close on their heels are Sport Elite and Club Crusoe. 


All three teams were at their best over the weekend registering outright wins. 


Club Crusoe put in a ruthless performance against Airports Authority who were defeated by an innings and 105 runs before tea on the 2nd day yesterday. 


Under-19 left-arm pacer Brian Nurse broke the back of Airports Authority’s batting with a season’s best bowling performance of eight wickets for 13 runs in the first innings, and then stroked 61 with the bat. 


Meantime, Antonio Providence’s knock of 119 set up an easy win for Sport Elite over Charlotteville, which has completed all its matches without a win. 


At Canaan, C&B United, on the back of another ten-wicket haul from left-arm spinner Jaime Boyce registered a comfortable 85-run win over newcomers Avengers. 


Boyce ended with match figures of 13 for 115 to take his wickets tally for the season to 59.


Damian Ramsey starred with the bat as Georgia took first innings points against Goodwood. 


Ramsey made an unbeaten 106 in Georgia’s 2nd innings.
