Playboys under pressure in South
PowerGen Sports club have taken control of their fifth round South Zone cricket clash against Playboys at Syne Village in Penal.
On a day when rain played a part PowerGen bowlers were on song and dominated the play. Playboys, batting first, were bowled out for just 65 runs. At the close of play the home team had responded strongly reaching 69 without loss. In other matches, the HYO versus Debe Youth Foundation clash had to be postponed because DYF did not show for the game due to the death of a player’s family. DYF had also forfeited their third place Lake Asphalt T20 clash on Friday night against PowerGen, due to the same reason.
Cosmos who finished as runners-up in the T20 finals on Friday, was on a bye over the weekend.
