Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley dedicated a chapter in his book, From Mason Hall to Whitehall, to his dismissal from the Cabinet of the late prime minister Patrick Manning.
A hat-trick from Potential SC bowler Rishi Gajadhar was not enough to give his team victory, as they fell by 27 runs to STX SC in the Barrackpore Sports Association T20 competition.
STX still got to a competitive total of 139/7, despite Gajadhar’s spell of 3/28. Terry Singh top-scored with 34, while Avinash Hajarie contributed 29 to the total.
In their run chase, Tyron Jacob’s 60 could only get Potential to 113/8 in 20 overs. Alex Sokhan (3/18) and Darren Beekah (3/14) took three wickets each to limit Potential’s total.
In another encounter, Marlon Breceno struck an unbeaten even hundred to guide Sand Hill to a 26 run win over Borde Narve Inverness SC. Breceno’s brilliant knock guided Sand Hill to a mammoth total of 191/3.
In their response, Borde Narve Inverness put up a good fight, but were bowled out for 165.
