Powergen only needs four points in the last round next weekend against third place Moosai to wrap up the National League Premier Division title.
Powergen has won six and drawn four of their ten matches this season. Powergen, currently on 208 points, will make the journey to Honeymoon Park, El Dorado to face Moosai with alot of confidence. In their ten matches this season, they have picked up at least nine points in every match. In the last round against Comets, Powergen gave themselves even more breathing room with a 63 run win, picking up 25 of a maximum 28 points. Powergen are now 25 points ahead of second place Clarke Road.
Defending champions Queen's Park, who won the Super 50 competition earlier this season are currently in fourth position on 172 points. Unfortunately for the defending champs, the highest they can finish this season is second. They will welcome Diamond to the Queen's Park Oval in the last round.
Wanderers and Diamond will be demoted to the championship division next season. Diamond are currently eleventh on 77 points in the twelve team table. Diamond will finish in eleventh position, even if they get a maximum of 28 points. Tenth place Aranguez will jump from 82 to 106 points at the end of the weekend as they are scheduled to face Wanderers, eliminating Diamond's chance to stay in the Premier Division. Wanderers has forfeited all their matches this season and teams have been gifted 24 points when scheduled to face them.
