Simon Kalechstein, Wendy D'arbasie and Deodath Harrikissoon, who won the male run, female run and male walk respectively will all look to come out on top when the Carifin Games continue today with the Chancellor Challenge at the Lady Chancellor Hill from 5 pm.
This race, which is the third of a four-part running series, will begin at the bottom of Chancellor Hill and end at the top.
The trio, winners of the Green Mile, that took place on April 24 at the Sand Track in the Queen's Park Savannah, are favourites to win today's event.
Central Bank's D'arbasie seems to be having her own way with her female competitors as only her CBTT colleague Esla Anthony, has been giving her some competition. John Donaldson, a former CariFin cross country champion, said: "Among the men it is possible for positions to change between second and sixth places based on the results of the last two events".
To be considered for prizes, participants will have to compete in at least three of the four running and walking events. The last running event will be a cross country on May 26 at the Sevilla Golf Course, Couva.
