Na­tion­al record hold­er Alee­sha Bar­ber cap­tured the women's 100m hur­dles at the 2nd an­nu­al Cay­man In­vi­ta­tion­al in George­town, Grand Cay­man, on Wednes­day. The 2010 Cen­tral Amer­i­can and Caribbean (CAC) Games cham­pi­on took the top spot in the women's 100m hur­dles in 13.04, pro­duc­ing a strong fin­ish to cross the line first.

Though Bar­ber's win­ning time was well off her na­tion­al mark of 12.85, the for­mer Penn State Uni­ver­si­ty stu­dent still im­proved her sea­son's best of 13.10. Bar­ber is the 2010 NCAA Di­vi­sion one bronze medal­list.

Olympic 4x400m re­lay bronze medal­list Jar­rin Solomon was sec­ond in the men's 400m in a sea­son's best of 45.65 while Ja­maal James fin­ished sixth in the men's 1500m in 3 min 53.43 sec­onds.

Al­so in win­ner's row was Ron­del So­ril­lo who raced to the the top spot at the Guade­loupe In­ter­na­tion­al Meet in Baie Ma­hault in Guade­loupe. The 2011 World Cham­pi­onships 200m fi­nal­ist se­cured the 100m ti­tle in 10.21, a sea­son's best.

Je­hue Gor­don was run­ner-up in the men's 400m hur­dles im­prov­ing his 2013 time to 49.05 from 49.26 which the 2010 World Ju­nior Cham­pi­on ran four days ear­li­er in Ja­maica.
