Kristan Kallicharan continued his brilliant form with the bat for the East Zone in the BGTT Under-15 InterZone competition, but it was only enough for his team to earn a draw against North at Honeymoon Park.
Kallicharan recently broke Brian Lara's Secondary School Cricket League record of 168 when he recently made 194 for Vishnu Boys in a 197-run win over Carapichaima East. In the East Zone's first innings, Kallicharan struck 108 to carry East to 218/3 in their 30 overs. He was assisted by Keegan Simmons and Sachin Seecharan, who made 38 and 36, respectively. In reply, North could only muster 90/8, giving East a huge lead of 128 runs on first innings.
In the second innings, Kallicharan was at it again, this time scoring 80 in his team's 241/4 in 45 overs. He was ably supported by Nathaniel McDavid (47), while Kallis Romain took 2/30. This meant North had an almost impossible task of making 370 runs in 45 overs for victory. North decided to play for the draw, and they succeeded, crawling to 71/6 at the close.
