The De­r­ick Mosca trained Star En­ter­tain­er can up­stage sta­ble com­pan­ion Slip­pery Sam and the John O'Brien trained King Whistler in to­day's fea­ture event over 1,350 me­tres on the main track at San­ta Rosa Park, Ari­ma.

O'Brien al­so has the tal­ent­ed clas­sic win­ner One­to­keep in the line-up but she will be tum­bling down at the end. Star En­ter­tain­er is high­ly re­gard­ed and won last time out in the hands of Emile Ram­sam­my, when cruis­ing home by over 10 lengths in the time of 1:21.00. His tal­ent­ed train­er has giv­en him time to im­prove and ma­ture. This time was slight­ly bet­ter than that pro­duced by sta­ble­mate Slip­pery Sam when that horse was sec­ond. It was al­so bet­ter than the time record­ed by King Whistler.

How­ev­er, the nine-horse fea­ture could be a re­al com­pet­i­tive event, but the Mer­lin Sam­lals­ingh owned Star En­ter­tain­er could well show that he is a class act and turn this race in­to a pro­ces­sion.
