Aranguez Sports Club will be aiming to defend its crown when the Savannah Cafe League Annual Windball Competition bowls off on June 9 at the Aranguez Savannah.
Twenty-four teams will vie in this 15-over tournament for a chance to win the $8,000 first prize. The runners-up will walk away with $3,500.
By the end of the tournament, $35,000 in cash and trophies will be given away, including individual prizes for most wickets and most runs in the competition.
National cricketers Sunil Narine and Rayad Emrit have participated in this tournament over the years. Registration ends on Sunday, and each team can register 20 players at a cost of $600 per team. On June 5, two representatives from each team must attend the club meeting at the Aranguez Sports Club.
