Gopaul, Batoosingh put South in a spin
Central spun their way into the semifinals of the BGTT Under-15 InterZone competition yesterday with a seven-wicket win over South, initiated by the destructive duo of Emilio Gopaul and Siba Batoosingh.
Resuming on their overnight 109/1 in their second innings, South lost their last nine wickets for only 42 runs, as they were skittled out for 151. Off-spinner Gopaul finished with 4/32, while the left-arm orthodox bowling of Batoosingh took 3/27. The in form Simmion Ramjattan could only add eight runs to his overnight 39.
