Steve Waithe was sixth in the men's triple jump final on the last day of action at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Pueblo, Colorado, on Saturday.
The Shippensburg student secured a top eight finish with a second round leap of 15.40 which he equalled in the third round. With his sixth place he contributed three of six points earned by school, Shippensburg, which finished 35th in the men's standings.
Osei-Alleyne Forte was in action in the men's 4x100m heats but his school, Abilene Christian University, was disqualified. Jameel Walcott's St Augustine won the men's team title with 15 points with Abilene Christian in 20th (9 points). Abilene Christian was 11th in the women's competition with 19 points.
