Ryan Griffith's incredible bowling performance led the Ranga XI to an easy six-wicket win on May 21 over Game Over in the Premier Division as action continued in the Don Miguel Ministry of Sport/Lucozade Sport Night Windball 12-over cricket competition.
Griffith ended the match with figures of three overs, three maidens, no runs and four wickets. Griffith was supported by Dilip Ramlogan, who also grabbed four wickets (4/7). Peter Mahase top-scored with 11 as Game Over were bundled out for 33. The Ranga XI got to their target fairly easy, only Aleem Ali giving them some trouble, taking 2/6 in three.
In a Women's Division encounter on May 22, national player Britney Cooper starred with both bat and ball to lead Ball Players to a seven-wicket win over Combine Forces. Bowling first, Cooper took 2/8 with her fast-meidum to help restrict Combine Forces to 63/8. Cooper was assisted by Unica Roseman, who also grabbed two wickets (2/12). Tricia Marquis offered some resistance, making 17.
