Whim plays Bamboo in Inter-District today
Defending Atlantic Primary Schools cricket champion Whim Anglican will face Bamboo Settlement Government School in their second match of the Inter-District tournament in Tobago today.
Both Whim and Bamboo are in Group B of the Northern section of the tournament and they both go into the game with one point each, after their opening matches were badly affected by rain on Monday.
Bamboo played against Cunaripo Presbyterian and scored 62 for two off 15 overs with skipper Azarian Samuel getting 31. While Cunaripo was preparing to reply the rain came down and washed out the game. The other clash involving Whim and Belmont RC was washed out without a ball being bowled. The other match today in Group B will see Cunaripo Presbyterian against Belmont RC.
In Group A in the North, first round action begins with Diego Martin Government playing Sangre Grande Hindu at Hardial Park and Tunapuna Presbyterian playing against Bon Accord at Bamboo Recreation ground. In the Southern section, there will be one match in group A and that will feature South/Central Anglican against Montrose Government way down at Cedros.
The other match will be played in Group B and will see Preysal Government coming up against Clarke Rochard Government at Inshan Ali Park in Preysal.
