Team Foundation's Joshua Alexander will be out to defend his title in the Oilfield Workers Trade Union's Road Race this Sunday when the T&T Cycling Federation begins its Annual Road Race Series at the Union's headquarters in San Fernando at 7 am.
This year's series will comprise of three road races and one time trial which will be part of the criteria for Juniors and Juveniles selection for this year's Junior Caribbean Road Championship. All Juvenile and Junior cyclists must compete in all four races to be considered for selection on the National Team. They must also finish each race within three minutes of the first cyclist of the relevant categories to receive points.
After beginning on Circular Road, Sunday's race will proceed along the Southern Main Road to Point Fortin, through Buenos Ayres, Erin, Palo Seco, Siparia and then finish at Charlie King Junction in Fyzabad. Tinymites and Over 60 riders will start at Palo Seco Velodrome and finish in Fyzabad while Junior and Juvenile Ladies will finish at Point Fortin Secondary, Reed Road, Pt. Fortin. The road series will continue with the Devil's Wood Yard Race on June 19.
Registration on will begin at 6:15 am at a cost of $20.
