Team Foun­da­tion's Joshua Alexan­der will be out to de­fend his ti­tle in the Oil­field Work­ers Trade Union's Road Race this Sun­day when the T&T Cy­cling Fed­er­a­tion be­gins its An­nu­al Road Race Se­ries at the Union's head­quar­ters in San Fer­nan­do at 7 am.

This year's se­ries will com­prise of three road races and one time tri­al which will be part of the cri­te­ria for Ju­niors and Ju­ve­niles se­lec­tion for this year's Ju­nior Caribbean Road Cham­pi­onship. All Ju­ve­nile and Ju­nior cy­clists must com­pete in all four races to be con­sid­ered for se­lec­tion on the Na­tion­al Team. They must al­so fin­ish each race with­in three min­utes of the first cy­clist of the rel­e­vant cat­e­gories to re­ceive points.

Af­ter be­gin­ning on Cir­cu­lar Road, Sun­day's race will pro­ceed along the South­ern Main Road to Point Fortin, through Buenos Ayres, Erin, Pa­lo Seco, Siparia and then fin­ish at Char­lie King Junc­tion in Fyz­abad. Tinymites and Over 60 rid­ers will start at Pa­lo Seco Velo­drome and fin­ish in Fyz­abad while Ju­nior and Ju­ve­nile Ladies will fin­ish at Point Fortin Sec­ondary, Reed Road, Pt. Fortin. The road se­ries will con­tin­ue with the Dev­il's Wood Yard Race on June 19.

Reg­is­tra­tion on will be­gin at 6:15 am at a cost of $20.
