Joseph grabs 5 for 5 in Min of Sport, Lucozade cricket
Sean Joseph had eye-catching figures of five for five in three overs as Cricket Addicts dismissed St Charles United for 15 and cruised to a 10-wicket win in Division One of the Ministry of Sport/Lucozade Don Miguel Windball Cricket Competition recently.
St Charles's innings lasted all of 8.2 overs with Alvin Clarke topscoring with five and Kendall George chipping in with two for one. In reply, Addicts eased to 16 without loss in 1.2 overs with Kris Samla remaining unbeaten on eight.
In Premier Division action Jonathan Narine hit 26 while Sudarshan Hosein made 19 and took two for 14 as Game Over beat Bamboo Raiders by eight runs. Batting first, Game Over tallied 86 for seven in their 15 overs, struggling against Andy Rambarran (2-0-5-2). Despite Vishwanath Seenath's match high of 33, Bamboo Raiders' reply was limited to 78 for nine as Hosein, Kevin Baptiste (3-0-3-3) and Anthony La Cario (2.3-0-10-3) stemmed the flow of runs.
Over $70,000 in cash prizes will be up for the grabs in the tournament, with $20,000 going to the winning team of the Premier Division and $8000 each for the Division One and Women champs. (NC)
