Top 300 world ranked pro­fes­sion­al Col­in Ra­mas­ra cap­tured the Men's Open crown, his sev­enth in to­tal, at the Na­tion­al Se­nior Squash Cham­pi­onships when he de­feat­ed a play­er a decade his ju­nior, Man­dela Patrick in the fi­nal, at the Cas­ca­dia Squash Courts, St Ann's, on Sat­ur­day.

It was a good ef­fort from the mul­ti­ple na­tion­al ju­nior cham­pi­on, Patrick, but it was in­suf­fi­cient as Ra­mas­ra went on to win the match vir­tu­al­ly un­trou­bled, 11/5, 11/9, 11/5.

On the fi­nal day, Patrick's younger broth­er, Nku Patrick al­so made it to the third-place play-off but lost the match to Guyanese play­er Ju­lian Chin, 12/10, 6/11, 11/9, 11/4. Patrick (Nku), reach­ing the semi­fi­nal stage was un­able to cross the hur­dle where he met and lost to Ra­mas­ra, in what would have al­ways been an up­hill task.

The men's plate fi­nal was won by Bran­don De Mon­trichard, who sealed an easy win over Adam Da Cos­ta, 11/5, 11/1, 11/8.

In the women's seg­ment, record hold­ing na­tion­al cham­pi­on, Rhea Khan se­cured her 18th ti­tle, when she played an­oth­er mul­ti­ple ju­nior ti­tle hold­er Faith Gillezeau in the fi­nal. Khan won the match 11/2, 11/9, 11/3. Third place went to Naki­ta Poon Kong who de­feat­ed reign­ing na­tion­al un­der-19 cham­pi­on Talia Ab­dool, while An­gelique Jack­son took the Plate ti­tle with an easy 11/2, 11/8, 11/5 vic­to­ry over Stephanie So­brien. The Vet­er­an's di­vi­sion was hot­ly con­test­ed, with Pe­ter Pirtheesingh rolling back the years to drop Roger Sa­landy, 11/8, 6/11, 11/5, 7/11, 11/8.
