Valiants wick­et­keep­er/bats­man De­von Nel­son is among 29 play­ers who have been called up by the na­tion­al se­lec­tors to pre­pare for the up­com­ing Cham­pi­ons League T20 crick­et se­ries in In­dia.Nel­son caught the eyes of the na­tion­al se­lec­tors with his bat­ting per­for­mances dur­ing the do­mes­tic T20 tour­na­ment at Guaracara Park re­cent­ly. He was tidy be­hind the stumps and had a few good knocks to go with it.

Apart from him, the oth­ers are the usu­al men who are called to pre­pare. T&T will be tak­ing part in the an­nu­al Cham­pi­ons League in In­dia from Sep­tem­ber 16. This is their fi­nal ap­pear­ance at the tour­na­ment be­cause from next sea­son the win­ners of the Caribbean Pre­mier League will be the ones go­ing to the Cham­pi­ons League.The play­ers called are to at­tend a train­ing ses­sion at the Sir Frank Wor­rell De­vel­op­ment Cen­tre on Sat­ur­day morn­ing from 9 am.
